The Christmas Party, which was preceded by the Club AGM, took place last Saturday, 10th December, 2011 in a private area in the Enoteca Della Langhe Restaurant in Dublin.

The atmosphere was relaxed; the location and food were excellent and the company priceless.

We are now looking forward to 2012!

We are a small club and consequently, a small family.  As such, we wish to offer our sincere condolences to the O'Halloran family and particularly, our kamerad, O/Gefr. Anton Holzmann on the untimely death of his father Anto.

Kann sein Seelen rest im Frieden.

O/Gefr. Griger represented 13/FJR6 in a private battle at Spanby, Lincolnshire, U.K. alongside our Kameraden in FJR6 (UK).

The pics can be found in the Media 2011 section.

We've just finished a successful training weekend at our training location in Wexford.

It was fantastic to have so many Fallschirmjager together and to meet our friends from 12/FJR6 (WHLA).

Saturday was an extremely busy day with 5 1/2 hours of combat centred around a Norman village straddling a strategic bridge. A dogged defence by members of 13/FJR6 was eventually beaten back by determined attacks and 12/FJR6 occupied the village giving them a foothold to secure the bridge.

Flank attacks in the afternoon succeeded in dislodging the defenders, pushing them back through the village to their start line.  Despite several energy sapping assaults, the bridge continued to be held and Normandy remained safe!

After a debrief, Feldpost arrived and was distributed and a quiet evening was had re-living the fighting of the day.

Sunday began with a breakfast and hunting US Paratroopers in an urban setting. Several other scenarios were run and camp was finally broken at lunchtime.

We have now acquired a Drop Container and a working Airborne Mortar Replica thanks to O/Gefr. Griger and look forward to a busy 2012!

Pics are posted in the Media section.

Once again thaks to our friends in 12 Kompanie and to the Herr Kanon for invaluable assistance!

Horrido!

As a fitting end to a busy season, FJR6 Kompanie 9 will be conducting a Training Weekend on 15/16th October in Wexford.

The primary aim of the exercise is to conduct both general and Tactical Training with the addition of an airsoft component for realism purposes!

Our friends from 12 Kompanie (WHLA) will be joining us for the event!

Horrido!

Well we have just returned from Beltring, and a fantastic time was had by all. Again thank you to our kameraden, 'the Green Devils of Carentan,FJR6' for having us. Highlight of the show, was to have  been involved with winning the best joint display, with FJR6, Just Ordinary Men and Vera. Photos to follow. We will be at the  Salute show  in Dublin.

Recently we set up a small display at a military fair in Gorey, Co. Wexford. A very laid back afare and gives us a chance to mingle with the Allied forces!! Pics to follow, including a few in homage to a well known film staring Michael Caine!

At the moment we are preparing ourselves for Beltring, the highlight of the year, so were are busy sorting vehicles, kit and myriad other things, that we wont know about until we realise we have left them behind. Still it will be worth it.
