Despite overwhelming Allied numbers, the FJ of KG Kaeppner gave their all and managed to stall and elay the Allied advance towards Fritzlar, Germany.

This was an immersive, challenging and physical exercise and was throughly enjoyed by all!

It was a new site adjacent to an Assault Course and fitted the bill nicely.

]]>Tue, 21 Feb 2012 00:07:16 -0800http://www.heavenandhell.org.uk/2/post/2012/02/new-events.htmlWe have organised another Club Training Weekend for 9th March, 2012 at our training venue in Wexford.  This will be just prior to Pip Park and will hone our skills accordingly.

Subjects covered will include Drill, tactics, hand signals, weapons training and map reading.

We have also been invited to take part in a new military show in Longford Town on the 5-6th May Bank Holiday Weekend. We are hoping for a big turnout to support this new enterprise.

It was a cold weekend with temperatures down to -4C on Friday night and continuous rain on Sunday. Nevertheless, in true FJ tradition, the weather did not dampen spirits and Drill, Tactics, Mortar and Weapons familiarisation and military protocol were all covered in depth. An evening of Kameradschaft lightened the darkness!

It was also an occasion to welcome on board our newest member, Jager Mahler!

The scene is now set for our next outing in early March which will hone our skills prior to Pip Pk. in April.

The cold and wet were penetrating but Uffz. Werner's soup helped to keep us going.

Now we're looking forward to our first training event of the year in late January!
